C Section Lochia. I bleed lightly the day of the c section but nothing after that. I had a c section 3 days ago. The bleeding is heaviest right after birth and slowly decreases over the following 3 or 4 days. And as expected you will have heavier bleeding with occasional blood clots.
It is still pretty red and is thinner than i remember. Many women believe that the flow of lochia is less after a cesarian section since the uterine cavity is cleaned out after the birth of the baby. Right after your c section lochia is bright red. It about stopped after a week. The amount and duration is the same in both cases. I had read that was normal because your doctor cleans you out pretty good during the surgery.
